Keys on the seat, every door locked
Car lockout Pilar de la Horadada: the car opened, and nothing else
Keys on the passenger seat, in the boot with the beach bags, or still in the ignition, and the car locked. It is opened without damage, at any hour, and that is the whole service.

In order
From your call to an open car door
-
Tell us where the car is
The street or car park, or a pin, and the make and model. Say if a child or an animal is inside.
-
Hear how long the drive looks
An honest estimate from where the van is, before anyone sets off.
-
Show the car is yours
The logbook, the hire contract or ID matching the documents. If they are inside, they are checked once it opens.
-
Price, then the door
The price is agreed, the door is opened, and you take your keys out yourself.
Out and about
Where cars get locked with the keys inside here
Beach car parks. From Mil Palmeras down to El Mojón, the boot gets shut on a bag with the keys in it. Say which beach and which end of it: the Río Seco runs between La Torre and Mil Palmeras, so “the beach car park” can mean either side.
Market mornings and evenings. Friday mornings on Avenida Camilo José Cela in the town, and in July and August the Wednesday evening market on Avenida de la Costa Blanca in La Torre, bring cars into streets that are full. Calling on a market evening.
The golf and the hills. At Lo Romero and up at Pinar de Campoverde a car can be locked well away from any street sign; a pin from your phone is the quickest way to be found.
Not offered
What is never done with cars
Asked about every week, and the answer is always no. None of the following:
- No key cutting, key copying or duplicate keys, for any lock
- No extra keys of any kind: not for a house, a gate, a garage, a storeroom or a mailbox
- No car keys: none cut, supplied, replaced or programmed
- No transponder chips and no remote fobs for vehicles
- No repairs to ignition switches or ignition barrels
- No keys for motorbikes, scooters or vans
For a lost car key, a broken fob or a faulty ignition, the right people are the dealer for your make or an auto-electrician. If you are also shut out of the house, that is an emergency call-out, and the house door is opened the gentle way. Every part of the municipality is on where we go, and every way to reach us is on the contact page.
Questions
About a car locked with its keys inside
Will opening the car set off the alarm or damage the seals?
The door is opened with tools made for the job, without forcing the frame or breaking glass. If the alarm sounds when the door opens, it stops once the car is started with its own key.
It is a hire car from the airport. Should I call the hire company first?
Check your hire contract or ring their assistance line: some include lockout help, others ask you to arrange it and keep the invoice. If you call us, have the contract to hand.
The key is in the car but the battery of the remote is flat. Can you open it?
Yes, the door can be opened. What happens with the remote afterwards is between you and a dealer or auto-electrician; nothing is done with car keys or fobs here.
A dog is shut in the car in the sun. What do I do?
If the animal is in distress, call 112 at once: that comes before any locksmith. Then ring us, and say so, so the call is treated as urgent.
